In depth

Verdict

The vote here goes to Abhisheka ahead of Taranto and Mango Mischief. Taranto was just beaten in a Lingfield all-weather Listed event over a longer trip last time. This trip should suit a lot better and she looks a leading player today. However, the progressive Abhisheka runs from the same yard and she has looked well worth a try at Listed level following two handicap wins, one of them coming over course and distance. She gets the vote. Princess Nada's form gives her every right to some consideration, as does Mango Mischief's, and a return to the level of her Group-placed form of May would make the latter a leading candidate. Finally, the third Godolphin runner, Lake Toya, is closely weighted with Taranto based on the all-weather run referred to and she is not without a chance. That said, we prefer her stable companion Abhisheka as the choice.
