      Verdict

Quarrymount, Belle Rouge and Dickie Deadeye head the list of likely winners and we will chance the first named in this contest. Quarrymount bears all the hallmarks of a typical Prescott improver and with likely front-running tactics to be employed ¿ he will take some pegging back round here. Belle Rouge has been a revelation this term and seems to have struck up a good partnership with Frankie Dettori. She was probably better value than the official margin suggests at Goodwood and could still be open to further improvement. Dickie Deadeye hails from a yard in form and is a likeable individual. Eleven furlongs is possibly about his limit but he should be thereabouts for a return for professional handling. Royal Bathwick is an unexposed type who is open to further improvement while Nawow looks held on the book despite a positive jockey booking. Although a step down in trip is a worry, Quarrymount has the right credentials for the race and should prove a tough nut to crack at this level.
