In depth

Verdict

It may pay to concentrate on those drawn low in a big field like this. The Cola Kid was a short-priced favourite for an apprentices’ handicap here three weeks ago but missed the break and was more than four lengths behind runner-up SPARKED at the finish. Nothing went right for Jim Boyle’s filly at Lingfield a week later and she deserves another chance. Rhubarb always seems to find at least one too good nowadays while Essme is better over further but Deep Spirit came good at Yarmouth last time. Bungle Bay and Tilsworth Ony Ta looks the best of those with wider starting positions.
