In depth

Verdict

Plumpton novice winner Gotham beat a below par Jack Dawson and has much more to do in this under a penalty, while hurdling debutante Arctic Double may prove more of a threat getting nearly a stone off Gotham, but this looks set to go to Thisthatandtother, who is another to have his first outing over hurdles. The winner of a bumper here, he then took in both of the champion bumpers at Cheltenham and Aintree and wasn't disgraced in either. He should outclass these, before going on to much better things.
