A poor race in which Honan secures only the most tentative vote ahead of Ethan Snowflake and Caper. Martin Pipe's charge was highly tried in Ireland ahead of his journey across the sea to Somerset. He disappointed somewhat in a couple of starts earlier in the year but the fact that connections have been prepared to wait suggests that that was nothing like his running. Ethan Snowflake is exposed as moderate but tries hard. There was no fluke about a 50/1 success at Fakenham and he wont be that price here. Caper and Coustou renew rivalries having met a couple of weeks earlier at Ludlow. The former is much better off at the weights and has an obvious chance of reversing form. Denise Best has had plenty of chances under all codes but this race is so weak that her best form would entitle her to place considerations. Of the remainder Prince Domino makes most appeal although he does appear to be something of a doubtful stayer. A poor race in which Honan is offered the chance of redemption.
