CAPITAINE has been competing in Graded company and found only the smart Finian’s Oscar too good in the Grade 1 Tolworth at Sandown in January. He needs to put a poor effort in testing going at Kelso behind him but Paul Nicholls’ charge has little to fear from these if doing so. Major Davis has been placed in a bumper and is related to useful hurdle winners in France but Status Quo and Brean Golf Birdie have shown no worthwhile form over hurdles so far.
