Verdict

Newbury second Wuff still looks a shade high in the weights while Alder Mairi steps up a grade off an 8lb higher mark as she bids for a hat-trick. Quite By Chance is only 4lb higher than winning over 2m here last time and is versatile as to trip. He could go well again and Gores Island has been getting closer as he comes down the weights and has dropped a further 2lb since his third at Ascot. BALLINVARRIG may now be ready to take advantage of a tumbling mark. He's been taking on better opposition in general and is now 4lb lower than when winning over 3m at Kempton just over a year ago. Renard may also do better eased in grade but Toowoomba is high enough in the handicap now.
