Verdict

A 7lb rise in the weights makes life tough for course specialist Wun Chai and so we will take him on with ALFRED'S TOWER who is preferred to Tizzy Blue and I'moncloudnine. The selection drops in trip today which looks a good move having seemingly been outstayed here last time over 3m2f. He is back over hurdles today and is able to race off a lower mark as a result and if he handles this quicker ground then he has a good chance. Freddy's Star is penalised for his recent Exeter win and still has stamina to prove, Tizzy Blue ran well at Newton Abbot recently where he just tired late on, whilst Quanta De Thaix may improve for today's longer trip; he handles the ground ok. I'moncloudnine chases a hat-trick and this course winner races off a lower mark now switched to hurdles again, Marigolds Way's run behind Quaddick Lake has been franked, whilst Roscrea makes his handicap bow today and the step up in trip is bound to suit this son of Oscar so he is one to watch carefully in the betting. This looks a very competitive handicap hurdle in which narrow preference is for Alfred's Tower.
