In depth

Verdict

Gas Line Boy wears a hood on his debut under Rules and we prefer another convert from the Irish point-to-point circuit, COWARDS CLOSE. Paul Barber bought him after his victory at Dromahane in April and sent him to Paul Nicholls - he may turn out to be a useful acquisition. Tidal Dance was placed in a couple of bumpers last winter and should make a hurdler while Billy No Name was third on his hurdles bow at Lingfield and is preferred to Uttoxeter fourth Original Star of the remainder.
