      Verdict

Another competitive affair closes the card and Wild Romance might well reward supporters, with Ososhot, Tosawi, Lorgnette and, possibly, Hi Fi, ones to pay some heed to. The selection hasn't won since his Irish days but looked as though victory was not too far away when second at Haydock last time and to our eyes looks competitively weighted. Ososhot looks held on that Haydock form although he loves it at Wincanton, having won twice at the track. Of the others, Tosawi is beginning to drop in the weights and should go well, but Gumley Gale, very well weighted on his winning form of May 2002, but has shown little in two starts this season following a year off. Lorgnette is a course and distance winner and, while she has not won since November 2001, has run well in defeat along the way and could go well. One to watch in the betting is Hi Fi, from Ian Williams yard, while Tony McCoy has been booked for Hopbine, but that one has been beaten a number of times since claiming the winner's rug, and Polish Cloud was second to Ranelagh - who runs earlier on the card - in what looked a modest event at Folkestone last time. In conclusion, then, in a competitive contest to close the card, we'll opt for Wild Romance.
