      Verdict

KARL MARX (NAP) gained the sixth victory of his career at Taunton last month and though up 5lb he's scored from higher marks in the past and can go in again. Ruby Russet is making a quick reappearance after finishing second here last week though she never looked like losing her maiden tag. Ice Tres, a winner at Taunton last month, couldn't handle an 8lb rise at Newton Abbot last week but Borak, who was beaten 7l in that former race, didn't get the best of runs and has every chance of reversing the form. Zamalight makes his handicap debut but hasn't shown enough to warrant consideration despite his stable flying at present.
