Verdict

RUBEN COTTER took a little while to warm to his task on his debut over fences at Doncaster but quickened right away from easy Catterick winner Vintage Star in the style of a decent novice and should have too much for Danimix, having his first start since winning at Worcester last July. Palace Jester also returns from a lengthy absence but was a decent staying hurdler when in the mood and makes more appeal than Midnight Whisper, who has shown little over timber but has won a point-to-point.
