Verdict

Illtakeitfromhere won comfortably on fast ground over 2m4f here earlier this month and though higher in the weights Luke Dempsey's claim is a major plus. AS DE PIQUE (NAP) has been in cracking form and will take some beating. He completed an early summer double before his saddle slipped at Downpatrick then failed to recover from a last-fence error when runner-up to Valours Minion at Killarney. He's still on a fair mark and can regain the winning thread. The disappointing Stonehall Jack has yet to win over fences and has had enough chances but El Grande has arrived in good shape from hunters events and made a promising start under Rules behind Abarta at Downpatrick.
