In depth

Verdict

Vercingetorix makes his debut over fences in this moderate company and looks to have every chance of adding to his two Flat victories and a hurdles success on heavy ground at Limerick. Concordin had a very long break before returning in January but showed with a fair effort at Cork last month that there should be races in him. Lisclogher Lad has shown the occasional signs of ability over hurdles and won a Naas maiden last January but the vote goes to CHAMPAGNE JAMES. Ted Walsh's charge has had plenty of experience over fences and though generally a disappointing type his overall form just about gives him the edge.
