Verdict

This is almost certainly an above-average bumper. Duc De Beauchene was only beaten half-a-length at Ffos Las earlier this month on his racecourse debut and David Pipe will be keen to get a race out of the JP McManus’s gelding. Minella Warrior was pitched in at the deep end on his debut under Rules at Ascot in December and is one to keep on the right side. Duke Debarry represents Nicky Henderson while Danseur Du Large could be a newcomer to note. New List has won a point-to-point but so has ITSNONOFURBUSINESS and the latter is a full-brother to one winning jumper and a half-brother to several others. Harry Skelton prefers him to stablemate Frankie Rapper, third at Kempton last month, so he gets the vote.
