Verdict

This is the most competitive event of the evening in which we will give the tentative vote to Jomelamin with both Named At Dinner and Mycenean Prince worth noting. The selection is eight pounds higher for winning what looked like a poor contest at Exeter last time out. His form prior to that had been pretty poor but this race does not look a great deal better so if recapturing that form he holds every chance of winning once again. Named At Dinner has not won for quite some time but to his credit he has performed well of late in defeat. He ran fourth here in a big field on his penultimate run over three miles and was not disgraced finishing fourth last time out either. This step down in trip should suit also so he is short listed to be in the frame. Mycenean Prince is winless in 35 outings so is not one to trust but that said he ran with respect when fourth of eleven at Hexham last time out suggesting that the ability is there and in such a poor contest he has to be respected. But for the winner we return to recent winner Jomelamin.
