In depth

Verdict

This may not take much winning and Mags Mullins sends over Leopardstown scorer Perfect Leader, who is 8lb higher but has a decent chance of completing the double. Las Tunas arrives in decent form but has shot up the weights. Trooblue was beaten when falling at Sedgefield and Uncle Bobby has not progressed as hoped. Emma Todd steered OLIVER’S GOLD into second place at Southwell and he’s been dropped a further 2lb. If the top weight could recapture last year’s form, he’d been a shoe-in in a race like this. Boss Des Mottes will have needed last month’s run at Market Rasen but still looks a few pounds too high.
