In depth

Verdict

Apterix defied a 7lb rise to win over track and trip earlier in the month but he’s upped in class off a higher mark today and the progressive ARTHUR’S OAK (NAP) is preferred. Venetia William’s charge was well beaten in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham in March but had won four of his previous five starts and has gone well fresh before. Aye Well won over course and distance last month having earlier finished behind Imjoeking at Kelso and the latter has returned a losing favourite subsequently. Just Cameron drops in class after a comeback run at Cheltenham and is capable of getting involved in this grade.
