Verdict

Pat Haslam took this race twelve months ago with smart handicapper King Revo and he can repeat the feat with Mr Mischief, Supreme Leisure and Beamish Prince look the obvious dangers. This son of Millkom was rated as high as 86 on the flat and made a very promising hurdles debut at Perth in August. He jumped well throughout and just tired on the run in when just over two lengths behind Mickey Croke. He hasn't raced since but will have been well prepared by his shrewd handler and can should go very close under Tony McCoy. Bumper winner Supreme Leisure went off 5/4 favourite for his hurdles debut but had to be pulled up following a bad mistake. If he gets his jumping together he will be a tough nut to crack. Beamish Prince slaughtered some modest rivals here on Boxing Day, before being put in his place by some decent novices at Leicester. This company will be a lot less taxing and he should make the frame. Classic Event should prove best of the remainder, but for the winner we return to Mr Mischief
