In depth

Verdict

Skirlaw is a nicely-bred youngster from a good family of chasers and is worth noting in the market as is the mare Arizona River. American Lover is a half-sister to winners on the Flat and should have the pace for this, especially with all the allowances, but this can go to EBANOUR. Donald McCain's son of Indian Ridge out of the Irish Oaks winner Ebadiyla cost £120,000 at the Doncaster Sales in November and is a half-brother to five winners including the useful Ebaziyan. He can take this before going on to better things
