      Verdict

It was heavy going when Banny's Lad won at Sedgefield last month and he couldn’t follow up off 7lb higher at Doncaster. He’s been raised a further 5lb since and looks worth opposing today. A drop in distance might help Swing Hard, who was second over 3m here two runs ago, but Leicester runner-up POWERFUL SYMBOL is steadily getting his act together and should be thereabouts with a clear round. The Cobbler Swayne has been lightly raced this season and this is his time of year so he’s another for the short-list but Gold Ingot and Clues And Arrows will do well to figure returning from a lay-off.
