Royal Connoisseur landed a double on soft ground last autumn while Tellovoi was placed at Pontefract recently. Cliff has been in good form on the all-weather but has yet to win in 26 attempts on Turf and Slemy is preferred having won this off a higher mark last year. ZODIAKOS (NAP) has slipped 10lb down the weights since this time last season and ran well at Pontefract on his recent debut for Roger Fell. He may prove good enough in this off his current mark.
