In depth

Verdict

Monbeg Dolly stepped up from her bumper victory at Towceter last April to make a successful reappearance over hurdles at Sedgefield in March. She's progressing nicely but has to concede weight all round. Winning point-to-pointer CHAMPAGNE TO GO came here for a bumper last month and had no difficulty making a winning start under Rules. That was over two miles but this is much more likely to be her trip and she can go in again. Mia's Storm has been competing at a much higher level and though pulled up in a Grade 2 at Sandown should do better in this company on much quicker going. Shine Away has been inconsistent but shown ability though the main threat may emerge from Elusive Theatre, a winner between the flags who could hardly have been more convincing when landing a Navan bumper.
