In depth

Verdict

Carl Llewellyn has his stable in cracking form at present and Bradley Boy looks a horse with a future, however we will take him on today in favour of Arctic Echo, with Chief Dan George and Negus De Beaumont just two others with claims in this strong renewal. The selection wasn't tested when sauntering to victory on New Years Day and looks one sure to appreciate the test of stamina today. He relished the step in distance last time out and looks to have a bright future as a hurdler, before going on to chasing. Chief Dan George comes here chasing a hat-trick having shown improved form this season, however this is miles tougher so he is passed over. As is All For Luck who got off the mark at the third attempt last month and looks progressive. However he would need to improve again to trouble the judge here, so perhaps of more interest is Ferdy Murphy's Negus De Beaumont. He comes here chasing a five-timer and looks a fine prospect for staying events in the future. He was seen to best effect over an extra three furlongs at Sedgefield and looks assured to finish well up the hill. However he is up against some very smart animals today so is reluctantly opposed, and so we return to Arctic Echo as our selection.
