In depth

Verdict

Don't let the big field put you off, Just Superb lived up to his name with an eased down 10 length win last time and is taken to defy a 13lb rise and go in again, with Burning Shore, Vicentio and Kalou fighting out the minors. The selection left all previous form behind him over course and distance last time, and with similar underfoot conditions he is taken to follow up what was a very easy win. We just hope that the dreaded bounce factor does not rear its head. Burning Shore receives a handy 10lb from the selection, an will probably also prefer this bit more cut underfoot than she has run on previously. However, consistent though she has been, it looks likely that she will have to settle for a place again. Vicentio was well beaten behind Overstrand at Market Rasen last time out and his chance is better judged on his Uttoxeter second to Another Club Royal in November. However, he has not performed well on this sort of ground in the past and is best watched here. Of the remainder, Kalou looks most interesting. It is not beyonds the realms of possibility that Barney Curley could land a touch with him here, though his form is nothing like that of the selection, and an each-way saver might be the answer for those really wanting to play, but for the winner we will side with Just Superb.
