never a danger

In depth

Verdict

Midnight Gunner, Tudor King, and Corkan are the in-form horses and we side with the former. Midnight Gunner has returned to form recently after a very long spell in the wilderness and he could be in off an attractive mark. Connections appear to have booked AP McCoy with considerable intent. Tudor King is running well in spite of advancing years. The eleven-year-old is thriving upon his races but will have to win off a career high mark. Corkan is off a desperately low mark but managed to put his head in front for the first time in three years. Some have argued that that was possibly down to an enthusiastic and enterprising ride rather than through raw ability. Vandante has been a fan of those who play placepots but not those who bet win-only. He is opposed on the grounds that his better form is over shorter. Of the remainder, Jackie Boy did show some form in bumpers but that seems an awful long time ago. A tough race for punters but one that can go the way of Midnight Gunner.
