Verdict

Staying chaser Fact Of The Matter has yet to make the frame over hurdles but his rating doesn’t really reflect that. Dreamsoftheatre is the senior runner in this but was only beaten a head over a similar trip at Stratford last month and won at Cartmel in July. Lillian stays well and is back on a winning mark but Lady Markby blotted her copybook at Fontwell earlier this month having gone close at Market Rasen the time before. SILK RUN takes up a further step up in trip but she’s been making rapid strides at Bangor recently. Tom Lacey’s mare has risen a further 6lb but Richard Johnson keeps the partnership intact, which suggests another big run is anticipated.
