In depth

Verdict

Gold Riviera achieved little when runner-up at Redcar and he has been done no favours by the draw here, while Phaedra, who shaped like a future winner at Kempton, has plenty to do from the worst of the draw. Astyanax is quite stoutly bred and will surely find this trip round here too sharp, so a chance is taken with Caught In The Dark, who has been running well enough without quite getting her head in front. She is well placed in stall four and could well take some pegging back around here.
