In depth

Verdict

Let's be polite: overall, this is a very ordinary race and Essnaad looks to have an easy task, with the 2000 Cheltenham Festival Bumper winner Joe Cullen at least adding some interest to the contest. It is good to see Joe Cullen, now with Ian Williams, back in this country, although he was unplaced in this year's County Hurdle, but the selection, trained by Barry Hills, has by far the best of the Flat form on show here, and may have been unsuited by the good to soft going on his last outing. Of the others, Welcome On Line would not have to be anything out of the ordinary to grab some place money, while the well-related Foolish Gift will rarely get an easier opportunity to get in the money.
