    Verdict

DON POOLEONI led until the second last in a better race over a longer trip here in November. The drop back in distance could finally see him get his head in front with Martin McIntyre reducing his welter burden by 10lb. The Game Is A Foot won at Plumpton three runs ago and wasn't beaten far at Taunton last time. He's another dropping in distance but continues to climb the weights. Dungeness showed his first sign of form at Uttoxeter on his reappearance and may have more to offer but last month's Leicester scorer Lost In Newyork has a bit to prove at this level and Tracking Time, Cropley and Windpfeil are all returning from a break.
