Verdict

Goodwood Mirage was given a rating of 96 on the Flat after finishing fourth in a Listed race at Ascot in October. That puts him in a different league to another debutante, Grey Blue, though the latter did win over 1m as a two-year-old and should stay the trip. AFTER EIGHT SIVOLA jumped poorly and soon lost touch on his racecourse debut at Chepstow in October but was very green. He's likely to have improved significantly since then and, being bred to jump hurdles, could find the necessary to open his account here and soft ground shouldn't be a problem. Sun Wild Life was only beaten half-a-length at Fontwell on his UK debut but is nothing special.
