Spin Cast and My Mate Jake had a real tussle at Kempton last month and the latter may just be well enough treated to reverse the places while top weight shouldn't prove too much of a problem for Fennell Bay, who has been racing on ground too fast since his mid-summer double at Sandown and Royal Ascot. Debating Society is progressing nicely and a 6lb rise for his Lingfield success shouldn't prevent another big run. Consider Yourself was a long way clear of the remainder when runner-up to Mazeydd in a qualifier here and should go well again but High Resolution is saddled with a penalty after scoring at Hamiliton and doesn't look well handicapped. Enriching's hat-trick have come at a low level on faster ground than he'll face here so, in a very open contest, a chance is taken with MCBIRNEY, who was behind Spin Cast at Kempton last time but will be much better suited by this ground and a stronger pace and has dropped to his lowest mark since making a winning handicap debut in April of last year.
