        Verdict

        LIGHT SLEEPER is selected to land this maiden but the market should provide us with clues as to what is expected of the newcomers. Other notable contenders include Rainbow Seeker and Time Medicean. Owned by John Fretwell is renowned for his ownership of precocious juveniles and being by Kyllachy means that Light Sleeper is likely to appreciate some dig in the ground. The worry is the form of the Chapple-Hyam yard who are 2/32 with their juveniles this season. Rainbow Seeker has very interesting connections and is gelded already. A 50,000 guineas purchase, the yard have produced some smart juveniles this season while Time Medicean, who's foal to yearling price was considerably lower is worth keeping a close eye on in the market. Aahaykid showed some promise on debut in what appeared a weak maiden over the course while Kersivay, hails from a yard in form but has looked moderate in two outings. Light Sleeper is the selection to land it but the market should tell us more.
