    In depth

    Verdict

Kansas Gold, Namu and Shoshoni look the three to concentrate on in this maiden with Kansas Gold getting the vote. The selection was a fair second behind China Cherub last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under similar conditions here he is taken to break his maiden tag. Namu rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Home Sweet Home but he is more exposed than the selection and for that reason he is opposed. Shoshoni is another that could go well as he hails from a shrewd yard and is clearly thought capable of better so he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Riolo has had plenty of chances and is another that looks exposed but for the winner we return to Kansas Gold.
