Verdict

NORTHERN PRINCESS was just denied on her debut at Southwell and the winner has since gone close in a Listed race at Huntingdon. A subsequent run at Ludlow, in a race in which Lugg River finished fifth, is easily ignored as her girth snapped soon after the start – Lucy Wadham’s filly can gain compensation here. Farne was also second on her debut at Wetherby and has scope for further improvement. Newcomers worth a market check include Olly Murphy’s A Perfect Gift and the locally-trained Makeyamindupmaiz, who has a nice pedigree.
