In depth

Verdict

In the finale, Seattle Robber is selected ahead of Kingscourt Lad and Princess Of Spurs. First-time blinkers brought improvement from Seattle Robber last time when he was fourth behind Mad Professor (who will by now have run in the previous race on the card, along with that race's third, Countback). A similar type of effort should see him competitive here. Kingscourt Lad ran respectably over course and distance last time and is very competitively weighted based on his 2006 summer form, while Princess Of Spurs registered a best-yet effort here last time and can continue to progress, and Chef Tartare would be a shoo-in on his best 2005 form but it would seem that he has lost his way of late. Once again, then, the selection is Seattle Robber.
