Verdict

Almagest could be worth a market check while Cooper's Friend and Mollyow are both course and distance winners entitled to respect. Carre Noir won at Newton Abbot in April and wasn't beaten far over this track and trip last time. He has to go on the short-list as does Kamool, who is still a maiden but has shown signs of ability. MR CAFFREY was having only his fourth run over timber when chasing home the in-form Ever So Much over 2m5f at Towcester and wouldn't need much more to be a major factor in a race like this.
