    Verdict

Dr Dream looks to have the best claims here and gets our vote, ahead of Bramcote Lorne and Nod's Star. A winner last time out a week ago, despite not being a straightforward ride, he looks the stand out runner here, although he's got considerably more weight than any of his rivals. Bramcote Lorne remains a maiden after 30 races, but does regularly get placed. Maybe his previous runs have been over too short a distance, as this will be his longest ever race, and he's being stepped up for a reason.. Nod's Star is Jim Best's only runner on the card, and after racing in handicaps in recent months could find this a more appropriate level. It's not a race to get too heavily involved in, falling into that category of having more chaff than wheat, but Dr Dream can be the best of a pretty moderate bunch.
