Verdict

SIROBBIE is a real course specialist and his victory here last month has already been franked. He was just behind Kansas City Chief when far from disgraced in a higher grade off this mark at Cheltenham last time and looks as good as ever. Jobsonfire was improving at the end of last season and made a satisfactory reappearance at Aintree. He’s still at the right end of the handicap while Plumpton third Vive Le Roi was keeping better company than this last season. Come On Teddy beat Young Offender at Market Rasen at the start of the year while Ashtown Lad makes his handicap debut after getting off the mark at Wetherby and should have no problems with the longer trip given his background in points. The returning Duc De Beauchene adds to the interest along with Neville’s Cross.
