    Verdict

The final event on the card does not look as though it will take a great deal of winning, and of the 10 runners, only two can be seriously fancied, Diorama and The River Joker. The latter has been brought to hand early by John Upson and this half-brother to the stable's River Challenge battled on well to foil Mithak at Huntingdon. The drop back in distance contributed to his defeat at Wetherby next time and although destined to go over fences, he should be capable of winning again at this level-any higher and he will be found out. Diorama shrugged off a string of duck-eggs gained in Ireland last season to open her account on these shores at the first time of asking for Luke Dace at Plumpton. She has subsequently disappointed at Fontwell, but is still expected to give The River Joker most to do, with neither Abbeyknock Boy or Brush A King in any sort of form at present.
