In depth

Verdict

A number of these struggle to get their heads in front. That list includes Psychocandy, Withoutdefavourite and Sounds Of Italy but Clondaw Rigger could be interesting returning from a break and Gavin Cromwell’s Toosey won at Cartmel the last time he was seen over fences. ALANJOU is on a long losing run but has plummeted down the weights as a consequence. He’s not an easy ride but Freddy Tett knows his quirks and he could go close in a race like this. Arboretum did well over hurdles last year but is 0-8 over fences and was pulled up returning from a lengthy absence at Southwell.
