Verdict

The step back up in trip will suit CLIFDEN BOY who may have another race in him before the handicapper catches up; dangers include Justabout and Bynack Mhor. Clifden Boy has raced from higher marks than this in the past so a 20lb rise for his two wins may not prove to be as punitive as it appears at first glance. He did make a few mistakes at Newton Abbot but this longer trip should help his jumping and the Devon form received a boost when the second went in next time. Justabout scored comfortably at Worcester but his maiden success came in a poor race and it remains to be seen whether he can build on that in a more competitive arena from his revised mark. Bynack Mhor failed to cut the mustard when last under Rules but he's enjoyed a profitable spell pointing and may prove to be a different proposition this time around so is well worth a market check along with Cinaman and Bathwick Breeze who haven't had many chances over fences but this may turn out to be another decent opportunity for Clifden Boy.
