Verdict

The fact that David Gandalfo has been selective in finding the right race for Rooster's Reunion is clue enough for him to be given the nomination and the Terry Warner-owned gelding is preferred over Migration and Galey River. The last mentioned was highly tried in a valuable handicap at Market Rasen last month - where he was far from disgraced in finishing towards the rear of a good quality field. This is more his grade and he can go well for each-way thieves looking to clip a little corner out of the market. Migration also ran in that same race and is another that should appreciate the ease in competition. However, Rooster's reunion looks to be a far more progressive and reliable proposition today and, with conditions to suit, this highly regarded gelding can get his season off to a flyer today.
