A field large in numbers but low in quality go to post for this maiden hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning but the principals look to be Space Star, Analyze, Houseparty and Darab and the confident vote goes to Space Star. The selection was a good second behind Brave Dane under similar conditions last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat. Analyze was a fair sort on the flat and has shown flashes of form to date over hurdles but he looks a doubtful stayer and for that reason he is opposed. Houseparty is another that could go well he was a fair third on his debut this season behind Island Stream but he looked as if he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Darab is another worthy of respect he was a fair third behind Zonergem last time and that gives him place claims but he will need to improve a little to defeat the selection Space Star.
