In depth

Verdict

Really heavy ground would be a bit of a concern for connections of BRICK RED but Venetia Williams' charge is a lot less exposed over hurdles than his likely market rivals in this and he's handled soft going well enough so far at Huntingdon and Ludlow. He gets the vote ahead of The Mad Robertson, who was well below par at Market Rasen last month, and Mollyow. Terry Clement's four-year-old is proving much better over timber than on the Flat and the third has given a boost to her latest second at Fontwell, though that was over further. Out Of Nothing may be capable of better and Alfie Wills could be one for the future, though may need this.
