In depth

Verdict

Antony Ebeneezer barely stays two miles but this race is so uncompetitive that he can see off Premier Marble and Great Ovation. Mick Fitzgerald has been booked for the mount so connections must mean business so we will take the hint. Premier Marble is exposed as a plater but his second to Faddad in a seller at the track a few months ago looks feasible enough form on balance. Great Ovation is owned by a bookmakers' staff group. This is a first drop into selling grade today. Pure Brief is not the same horse of a few years ago. Arabian Knight is a modest sprinter making a belated debut over timber. Kent is a Polish import who should not be confused with the Peter Cundell horse of the same name. Antony Ebeneezer is selected in the lack of any quality opposition.
