Verdict

Though several of these are previous C&D winners, this contest may not be as competitive as the numbers suggest. Cartmel second An Capall Mor is very one-paced while Maxdelas and Mighty Monty both lack a recent run, as does Nothingbutthetruth. It was fast ground when Small Fly won at Ffos Las in May and he's 7lb higher now but Arctic Wings could be interesting as he's won at a higher level and is starting to look very well treated following a barren spell. TARANTELLA LADY has only won one of her eight starts over timber but she was a decisive winner under a big weight on the Flat at Redcar eight days ago and should go close if translating that form back to the jumps.
