Chateauneuf Du Pap is one of the more exposed hurdlers but ran well for second over 2m5f here recently. Reelingintheyears was still beaten 11 lengths when runner-up at Clonmel on his reappearance and Schmidt was beaten the same distance when fourth at Limerick last month and shares ownership with BACK BAR. The latter was in the process of running a big race at Cork last time when unseating a couple of hurdles from home and Gordon Elliott’s charge gets the vote in this with a clear round. Lareena has been placed over hurdles in France but was well beaten at Clonmel in May on her debut for Willie Mullins.
