Verdict

While the race won at Wetherby by GRAZE ON AND ON was nothing special, nor is this, and she can follow up from Tootsie Too. John Quinn's mare was a fast ground winner at the West Yorkshire track, staying on well to pip Madison Heights, and she begins her handicapping career from a comfortable enough mark of 84. Presumably put away for the winter in the hope of more opportunities on decent ground again in 2009, she reappears here and with the yard going well she will hopefully be straight enough. Tootsie Too gives weight away all around and also relishes good or fast ground. This stiff two miles should help this confirmed stayer of half-a-mile further and she won't be found wanting in that department. Play A Cord is tongue-strapped for the first time after struggling so far. That may elicit improvement and from a yard that likes a punt, market confidence would be interesting. Course and distance scorer Cove Mountain should be at home on the ground and can improve for a recent pipe opener to get much more closely involved, but little else appeals and we'll take Graze On And On to score.
