In depth

Verdict

Ela Jay can beat her main rival Henrietta, with Lissnabrucka one to keep on the right side of on her debut. Ela Jay was a maiden on the Flat, rated just 44, but opened her account over timber with the minimum of fuss at Folkestone two weeks ago. She did not beat much but can only improve for the outing, and might be a bit of value against Henrietta. Martin Pipe's mare, a half-brother to Hours, will tread the same path as time goes by, but she has already opened her account here, when scoring in easy fashion 12 days ago. We know that she will be hard to beat, but fortune favours the brave. Lissnabrucka is owned by J P McManus, and if fit enough, can play a prominent role. She is probably best watched really but is one to bear in mind, but the rest make limited appeal. Take Ela Jay to topple the favourite Henrietta in the opener.
